Sage as a Dog: This little girl holds a special place in my heart. She is the first puppy born into my home, and that is meant literally. It is as if she was given to me as a gift for making the correct decisions. I treasure her, and now that she has moved through puppy hood I have come to know her as a dog.

Sage is a mischievous soul, not cowed by human or dog. I fully expect her to take over the position of Alpha from her mother in short time. Mild mannered like her father, Sage has more flair and energy then her daddy does. A cuddle bunny she is not prone to collapsing and going to sleep when a situation bores her, but instead she attacks new situations with a zest for life that is a pleasure to watch.

Sage as a Show Dog: I look forward to showing Sage. Sadly, I was not able to start her as early as I would have liked because we moved house right when she turned six months old. Getting a house together for a bunch of dogs and cats turned out to be more work then I expected, and because of it I wound up now showing.

However, I was able to correct this and showed Sage for the first time in November. While not the memorial occasion I had dreamed of, it did not go bad. Once she warmed up, Sage showed her potential and was complimented by the judge for her behavior and presentation. Soon we will take on the world this spring and summer, and once she decides to show us how much coat she is going to have, she will to go to David Osuna to finish her title.

Sage at Zenth: As my first home bred puppy, I have high hopes for Sage in the whelping box after she finishes her title. My goal is to outcross her to some fantastic males because I fully believe she will continue to add her conformation and temperament into the next generation.
