"Echo"

Echo as a Dog: Echo is perhaps the first hyperactive Afghan Hound I have met. She is full drive all the time. She has a hard time keeping her feet on the ground and has gained herself the name of 'Echo Bounce'. She loves food, she loves people, she loves to be carried, and she loves life. Echo is a dog that warrants a second glance. She is slender in build but I expect her to fill out a bit more as she ages. She is very heavy, being solid muscle. It is hard to get good pictures of her thanks to the inky black coat.

Echo at Zenth: Echo is one of my pupsicles. In January of 2006 I did a frozen semin AI implant on Lavender for the second litter produced at Zenth. I wound up with five puppies kept two. Echo and Envy are here and their sister Sahli lives with the stud dog owner. My goal in this breeding was to pull back on some very old lines that are hard to access. Their father was 14 at the time of the implant and died a month after the puppies where born. He was born in 1993 and his mother before him was an older bitch when she whelped him. Thanks to technology I hold a valuable piece of Afghan Hound heritage in my hand, or more accuratly on my couch.

For those that wish to ask about pedagree, know that the dogs listed are from Europe which has a different system for conformation. Also Inditu came over to America when he was eight years of age and no longer in coat. It takes an afghan an adverage of 18 months to grow a coat for compitition.
